Happy New Year to all and a big thank you to those of you who donated to Angels Healing Angels Special Medical Fund in 2022. Your generosity helped us give some deserving pups and kitties the medical care they needed.
Our first plea for help this year is for Zara, a sweet recent mom who’s estimated to be 2 years old. Zara is suffering from transmissible venereal tumors (TVT), a cancer that causes painful lesions and tumors near the genitals, as well as around the nose and mouth of dogs. It’s spread from dog to dog, often during mating and can be deadly if left untreated.
The estimate for Zara's cancer treatment is $1500.
Zara was picked up as a stray in the city of Banning and brought to us at the Banning Animal Shelter. She was pregnant and soon had 13 puppies. Yes, 13! Sadly, however, 8 of those precious little ones were stillborn. Zara is now in foster care as she awaits cancer treatment.
